Festive Wreath Making at The Sunranch
Sundown Wreaths On The Ranch
Let’s get festive together! Spend a fun afternoon at The Sunranch making a unique dried botanical wreath. Inspired by the ancient custom of Shimekazari, this afternoon will immerse you in the beauty and symbolism of Japanese New Year decorations, woven seamlessly with the rugged spirit of the ranch.
Shimekazari are intricate, sacred ornaments hung at the entrance of homes, businesses, and temples in Japan to ward off evil spirits and invite good fortune for the year ahead. Made from sacred straw ropes, pine branches, and other natural elements, these decorations symbolise protection, renewal, and prosperity.
At The Sunranch , we invite you to create your own interpretation of this tradition through a Festive Wreath Making workshop, where you will craft a unique wreath using dried botanicals and rustic elements. Reflecting both nature’s bounty and the spirit of the season, these wreaths will be a personal and beautiful way to welcome the New Year.
